Chances are, if you’re listening to this show, you have some experience with the idea of supper clubs. Maybe you thought about hosting one, or maybe you’ve attended or even cooked for one, so you probably know it’s a wonderful way for those passionate about the combo of food and beautiful locations to come together and enjoy both. When it comes to supper clubs, nobody does it better than the Shotgun Supper Club, a bi-annual gathering in Thomasville, Ga. hosted by Nan Myers and Carol Whitney. Some well-respected Southern chefs (including Ep. 31 alum Whitney Otawka) have cooked for this special club, and I recently got the opportunity to be a part of it all. You’ll hear us shout out to a lot of other Southern Fork guests and friends in this episode, because connection is what a supper club is all about, but you’ll also get some ideas about organizing one for yourself. And these two are all about organization -- they both own businesses and are active in their community too.
